In 1972, Emerson Fittipaldi drove the legendary Lotus 72D to the Formula One World Championship, becoming at the time the youngest champion in the history of the sport. A defining moment for both the driver and Team Lotus.
Designed by Colin Chapman, the Lotus 72 was one of the most innovative cars ever seen in Formula One. With its distinctive wedge-shaped design, advanced aerodynamics and the iconic Ford Cosworth DFV V8, it became one of the most successful machines of its era.
